ABOUT ME
My name is Emily and I am an experienced dressmaker and tutor. Sewing is my absolute passion and for me it is a way to relax. I am totally obsessed with making my own clothes and I want to pass on my love of making to others. I have been sewing since 2014, and I am slowly replacing my entire wardrobe with handmade clothes. I am also a Primary school teacher so I can transfer my pedagogical knowledge into teaching adults to sew. I live near Cambridge with my husband, 3 children and dog. Other than sewing, I like to run regularly and I am also interested in many other crafts such as knitting, macrame, quilting, spinning and weaving to name just a few!
I believe sewing is more than a skill—it’s a way to slow down, create something meaningful, and reconnect with your creativity.
My workshops are designed to be supportive, hands-on, and enjoyable, giving you the confidence to explore sewing at your own pace while creating pieces you’ll be proud to wear or share.
